Many of the great minds that made groundbreaking contributions to the world had a developed sense of imagination and mental screen. These inspirational people were able to imagine a real-world problem and a solution in their heads before they took any further steps to solve the issue. They were able to see what was redundant in any structure and build models step by step that could be applied in practice.
So how are people able to develop this vision and implement it into practice? The first step towards creation of any kind comes from developing a clear mental screen. The steps needed to visualize and implement a concrete solution will become more obvious once a person is able to eliminate the obstacles standing in the way of mental clarity. The act of creation is a spontaneous process that will naturally bear fruit once we are able to calm our minds and develop an awareness of the limiting beliefs and concepts that stand in our way of both seeing infinite possibilities.
We can develop our mental screens and eliminate the obstacles that stop us from seeing clearly through the practice of meditation. Meditation helps us take a step back and observe a problem from a distance and without attachment to an outcome. It helps us better observe the emotional and mental concepts and attachments that are limiting our perspective and stifling our spontaneous creative nature. Meditating regularly helps our mental screen become clearer over time, and helps us reach solutions we may not have considered otherwise.
In order to achieve this clarity and inspiration, we can start by closing our eyes and visualizing the problem and repeat an affirmation like “May the Universe eliminate all my obstacles to find a solution to x,y problem”. Following the visualization and affirmation, we let go and allow some time for the process to mature. We will gradually become more aware of the potential obstacles and needed steps to implement a solution. We can repeat this process however many times needed to reach/realize the solution and implement it. Visualization and meditation have undoubtedly helped pave the way for some of the most inspiring ideas, projects, and businesses today.
