It is very common for working professionals to crave a break from the workplace. The stress of chaotic schedules and looming deadlines can be overwhelming and push employees to their limits. Quite often you will hear a colleague saying: “I need to take a breath”. Excessive pressure can cause physical discomfort or even pain in the chest region as well as increased breathing patterns and heart rate. Consequently, many working professionals often suffer from shortness of breath or irregular breathing patterns. As a result, more and more people nowadays are searching for different ways to release both emotional and physical pressure.

MyVincha programs incorporate breathing exercises in every package but single meditations. One of the goals of the programs is to teach people to consciously use their full breathing potential. Proper breathing demands effort and awareness, especially in the beginning because most people are unaware of the importance of breathing from their lower stomach. Overlooking breathing from the stomach automatically diminishes the chances of breathing at full capacity. The benefits of breathing from the stomach are numerous – it gives individuals a boost of energy, helps with stress, and creates the space working professionals need to cope with the chaos of work.

MyVincha programs have a one-minute introductory stomach breathing lesson that teaches individuals how to breathe most effectively. The same way of breathing can be used during any other meditation. At the beginning breathing from the stomach requires effort and focus, later on working professionals will notice that they are breathing better spontaneously and with less effort than before. So long as individuals practice what they’ve learnt they will be able to transform their breathing pattern in a very healthy and beneficial way. They will find it especially effective at times of high stress of crisis.

Working professionals, including managers and leaders, often turn to unhealthy ways of dealing with stress, including drinking, smoking, eating fast food etc. The act of consciously directing attention towards breathing from the stomach costs nothing and the value is high for anyone willing to find a new way to deal with stress. Sometimes it takes only a few minutes to feel the positive effects of connecting with the breath consciously. Individuals will feel less distracted from the flow of their thoughts and this extra space and calmness will help them generate new approaches and solutions to any issue they encounter at work. The sooner individuals learn to breath properly the better they will feel.
